Meet David, The English Garden Photographer
Hello, I am David Wickham and I am a self-taught photographer, based in the countryside near London. I began 'The English Garden Photographer' as an online portfolio showcasing my passion for gardens. My work explores the relationship between light and space, plants and landscape- With a particular interest in the passage of time and the changing seasons. Growing up with my camera in the heavily wooded county of Surrey, England, I would say my aesthetic is informed by a true sense of place- that only a garden or natural setting can convey.
My photography has come full circle- I have re-discovered my passion for gardens, plants and nature after a successful career in lifestyle and event photography, as well as editorial and portrait- My work has been published in Hello!, Italian Vogue and Homes & Gardens amongst others, whilst my clients have included Harper Collins, Newsweek, Secret Cinema, The Shangri La Hotel Group & UKTV.
I regularly work with magazines and also with businesses and individuals who need imagery to showcase their work.
