Jo Rodwell Feature – Homes & Gardens Magazine

It was great to see my photography of Jo Rodwell, a.k.a Jo Flowers, featured in Homes & Gardens Magazine, with words by Rona Wheeldon. Jo is a classically trained florist whose floral arrangements are inspired by her observations of flowers and foliage growing freely in nature. To ensure her creations are seasonal and of good provenance, she grows most of her stock in her Norfolk garden, and uses her designs, studio workshops and countrywide events to share her ethos. Jo- "I am a firm supporter of growing organically and seasonally. Once a year, I dress the beds with a mushroom compost and I tend to leave many of the flowers unstaked, as their bendy nature is perfect for giving movement to my floral arrangements. When I am working on my floral designs, I have this wonderful resource on my doorstep, which means I can go outside and pick whatever is looking it's best. I was a gardener before I became a florist and my floral style mirrors my garden throughout the seasons: very natural and painterly."
